Tips for a good media release, follow us at http://writers.ae

A media release is an important document for corporate companies to reach out to publishing houses and other media houses. A good media coverage needs the art of putting together a good press release. We share a few tips on how to write a good press release.

Write a good headline

A good headline gains a quicker response from people reading it. It creates a kind of interest when one sees a good headline. Most journalists spend a very little time in knowing whether something is interesting or not. A great subject line is a good start for the press release.

Be concise

You must write concise articles or press release as a long media release will not attract enough readers or garner enough interest among journalists and leaders. The ideal length of a media release must stay between 300 to 400 words on an A4 size paper. Sub-headings and bullet points can be useful to make information easy to understand, particularly if you're including figures or statistics.

Information more important than promotion

Information is more important than promoting in terms of writing a media release. A media release must be informative and not look like its promoting an idea.

Use plenty of quotes

Facts can be boring while people are interesting. What people say or think can be newsworthy and including quotes in your draft media release and getting the agreement of the person you're quoting is necessary. You might also decide to include a quote after the introductory paragraph.

Use a simple language

Use a simple language and with short sentences. A simple language is easy to understand and doesn’t take a toll on the readers mind. It could be conversational and not a one way reference style of writing.
